Yeh Mahalo, Yeh Takhto, Yeh Tajo ki duniya Yeh Insaan ke dushman samajo ki duniya Yeh daulat ke bhooke riwajo ki duniya Yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaaye toh kya hai....
(I thought of translating this...but I would not do justice to it.)
This is one of my favourite songs. I guess you would say 'No wonder'. Its also an escapist song, just like my ghazal. But I like the poetry in this song. A single thread runs through the entire song. Plus the ideas are authentic. Unlike Jaaved akhtar who somehow manages to steal ideas of others, wraps them in his words and presents it to the world as his creation. Hats off to saahir ludhianvi.
