Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

this is one of my fav poems, in my poetry collection.....
but have had an underlying question, always. do u really do that to ur dreams? let them be at the feet of mercy of somebody else? doesnt one soar high with dreams?
wat is it?
Sometimes, dreams are at the mercy of somebody else. one cannot help it :(
Life goes on :)
wow! those lines are so beautiful, lines that arise only out of deep, sincere emotions...a poem well chosen :-)...are these lines meant for your girl?...don't need to answer this question,i know its personal.
