Not a line of her writing have I
Not a thread of her hair,
No mark of her late time as dame in her dwelling, whereby
I may picture her there;
And in vain do I urge my unsight
To conceive my lost prize At her close,
whom I knew when her dreams were upbrimming with light

Brilliant is correct.

And the best part is that I came across just the first two lines in a book I was reading, and I was hooked to this. Words fail me to describe this. Sublime Poetry

Yes, there is something about those first lines. I wrote three stories for it, and tweo poems so far, and none of them are worthy of those two lines.

It's one of those poems... and I don't know many... that catches at your heart and leaves your eyes bright.
